Pantry Volunteer Application

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at our food pantry. We serve, on average 700-800 individuals each month. To accomplish this requires many volunteers from our community. We can't do this without your help.

There are volunteer opportunities to work directly with clients during our weekly pantry hours. Or there are more behind-the-scenes volunteer opportunities, with a more flexible schedule.

As part of our certification with Dare-to-Care, all volunteers must agree to the following:

I agree to serve as a volunteer for Bread of Life Food Pantry, a Dare to Care Food Bank-certified food pantry to serve those in need. I understand that I will not receive any financial compensation or preferential treatment while serving as a volunteer.

As a volunteer, I agree to the following:

I will treat the program clients with respect, as I would like to be treated, and be sensitive to their concerns.
I will follow the procedures and guidelines set forth by Bread of Life Food Pantry, Dare to Care, Feeding America, and the USDA.
I will keep all information I collect from clients confidential, including information as to who are clients.
I understand I am not working in exchange for food, goods, or any preferential treatment.
If I am also a client of the food pantry, I agree to be served after others have been served, without any preferential treatment, as a witness to my integrity and willingness to serve others before myself.
